    TX3340 2-way issue.

Ok, I think I am in the right section. I fitted a GME TX3340 radio to the Patrol.
It receives beautifully but it transmits poorly. Very weak signal on any receiving radio.
The continuity on the antenna is fine. Its got me stumped.
Can anyone offer a suggestion as to the problem.

It appears OK, wouldn't that stop the reception as well?

Earth can be a tricky thing. The radio uses more power in transmit. Normally the paint is not scrapped back where the mount sits.

You need to get someone put a VSWR meter on the antenna - it will confirm if you have a cable . antenna fault of a faulty radio - blown PA.

    Most commen causes are
Faulty power cables - cable too small
    Faulty rf connector shorted
    Faulty cable
    Damaged / fauilt antenna
Faulty PA in radio due to above

Problem solved. Faulty CAT cable from the unit to the hand piece junction box. Common issue with new radios that have remote faces or everything in the hand piece.
