Had a similar experience a number of years ago. A GU 2.8L TD Manual 1998 5 speed (I was in) an a Toyota Hilux 2.4L - both diesel. We were going camping for a week North Qld. Cape York to Point Lookoput North of Hopevale. The Hilux got stuck in the same at least 4 times and needed to be pulled out by the Nissan Patrol.
Was good to see - whilst I suspect it had a lot to do with the driver I was not going to let on and took full advantage of the situation.
I did notice that the passenger in the Hilux had purchased a Nissan Patrol within 12 months of us returning.

I reckon that'll be passenger side tail lights, we don't all drive on the wrong side of the road you know
The Tojos are new I think, no plates and delivery stickers in rear window. I reckon the delivery truck driver just took it literally when they said " Yeah, just drop the chit over there"
