    Modification to Rear aircon, GU8.

Ok So my ST came with rear air con as standard, great, but its cooling only, so this means i can use the fan unless the main AC has been selected to run.

What i was wondering, has anyone modified the rear AC to allow you to run the rear fan, no AC any time you like. I have the wiring schematics but its well above my head.

if so, can someone assist me with details. etc

I don't think they are for your vehicle, the first diagram suits a LHD TB45E manual A/C.

The ZD30 diagram at the bottom doesn't show the rear cooler circuit.

Is your A/C climate control or just manual control?

    I just found this one.

They make it difficult by not showing the internal schematic for the rear cooler unit.

There are a couple of things you could try.

Cut the LG wire the comes from pin 14 at the rear cooler unit and connect it to the LG/R wire that comes from pin 8 of the rear cooler unit.

Basically you are connecting pins 14 and 8 together. This will pull pin 14 to ground when the rear fan switches are turned on.

Hopefully this will turn the rear fan on without having to have the front A/C on. I don't think there will be any feedback issues, if there is, try joining pins 14 and 8 by a diode.

    Or

The other option that might work is by cutting the LG wire the comes from pin 14 at the rear cooler unit and connect it straight to ground.

Due care has been taken with the above advise but no responsibility taken
