Hello everybody.
Here is the question: I know You have solution for exchanging manual free wheeling hub in typical patrol's mechanical winch into under-pressure switch on/off controlled from the cabine.
I am getting sick with running out and in all the time to release rope manually or close it for winching.
I saw rally in NZ and AU patrols are operated by the driver from cabine and winch-man is just running with the rope.
The air free spools I have seen have all been fitted to Warn 8274 high mount electric winches. Snake racing (Australia) make air free spool kits.
I know the Kiwi's are a lot more into PTO winches than us Aussies but I don't know how they modify them. I think they prefer the Toyota PTO winches because they are stronger.
Thanks Tony.
You are right - two years ago I imported mech winch from NZ. Whole set.
I saw air free spool on their pages then. I shall try to look around there.
Maybe some of forum friends is NewZelander?
