No rain there mate... as I kept saying (annoyingly ) I bet Tallarook was soaking wet.

Ok this is how it was for me and Erica....

I did most of the day say 98% in 2wd and was not challenged, I was also being annoying with my comments he he!!

Then some bright spark or shall we say legend suggested we go do a couple of other track that he had been wanting to check out... on ya Andrew!!!

This is were my constant bragging about 2wd got put in its box, we did some medium tracks (still in 2wd) then we came across the rocks and much discussion was had in whether to have a go or turn back.

Peter (Healy's mate) said he would have a crack in his GU 4.5 with lift good tyres and rock sliders, it took a bit of work but we got him up on his own steam.

Then it was put out there to see if anyone else would have a go and Healy was already scrambling down the hill to get to his car... Healy is a bit heavier on the right foot and at first I thought it was the reason he was really struggling to get up this???

Then it was discovered his LSD was not working at all and it was like driving an old Hilux with one wheel in the air the other was not turning... so his mate Peter turned around and with his TIGERZ11 winch pulled him out with ease..

The spotlight was on me now as it was decided by nearly everyone else I was going up this whether I liked it or not.... plus we could not have 2 GU's go up and no GQ's so after a little fiddling to get other cars moved about to let me passed I took off!!!

Lets just say this.... I did the GQ's proud and got up the whole thing with little effort and it is only the last bit that you really rely on direction from a spotter that I have 2 go's at it but da da daaa!!!

So now we were split into 2 groups and have agreed to meet at the bottom of Rocky track, from here it was a little tricky but not too hard then Healy thought a big bog hole would be a good idea?????? strange boy!!!!

It took a while and with no luck with a forward winch I opted for Peter to winch him back out up the hill and it worked really well, in fact better than I hoped.

On our way again... with no working Lsd the next section proved tough and 32's that were almost stuffed did not help so I had to revers back down this track and that is where I started to get all the damage with guards and mud flaps ripping off..

After a few goes we finally got going with me dragging the gu through this pretty tough track, once to the top it was smooth sailing and was even a bit of fun, I was trying on the UHF every minute to reach the others and after about 15min I heard Roofy's sweet voice...

Rocky track was easy and I could have used my wifes car and once at the bottom we were all re-united... after a quick chat everyone buggered off and Irish stayed with me while I aired up and had a well deserved beer....

The drive home was a killer and poor Erica was stuffed... she really is a trooper as many of you know, we got home at about 8.45pm... one long day...

I enjoyed the challenging stuff and met some more great people who I hope to go 4wding again.

I want to thank Peter(Irish) and Roffy for being so patient and waiting for us not knowing what might have happened and understand Andrew with the whole family you had to go.

The next trip will be in my stomping ground so look out!!!!!
