Ova, the machining of your axle was more than likely done on a automatic lathe or cnc m/c. Yes these things happen from time to time. My suggestion would have been to have the axle centre ground here in Sydney. A lot quicker and cheaper for the company who supplied it to you. Bad luck and hope things improve.

    Macca: Gee, thanks mate,
To quote from a very old movie, "you're talking to a man who's laughed in the face of death, sneered at doom, and chuckled at catastrophe. Im petrified !!!"
    No appology necessary,

93Patrol: The only way is up from here:
Up!!!! Um, I should mention that I am afraid of heights.

Nisshead: Look on the bright side Ova50, things are only ganna get better from here...
Just what I needed to hear, Gotta be positive, only hope I dont touch the negative terminal. (lol)

Steve4wdin: Yes these things happen from time to time.

Agree with you there, things do happen.
What annoys me is the part I played. I should have taken a bearing with me to check first.
I didn't, but hey, I can live with that.
People make mistakes. If we didn't, they would never have put rubbers on the end of pensils.

Ova50: Why the hell did you come back to Sydney?

That bothers me, About 20 years back I had an industrial accident, had fractured all but one of my ribs on the left side, Drs were uncertain about the remaining rib.
So the wife comes to visit me in hospital that arvo and brings me a card. I open it, and on the front it has "Get Well, Get Well", when I opened the card, it said, "Get Well and Truely".
I started laughing and that made the pain worse, then there is this slight cracking sound, yep the last rib that the Drs were sus about, let go.

Gutsyute: The axle , I was told that the axle is machined by computer, surely there must be a breathing organism that works the computer, ( Im a pretty gullible person, so sure, I'll believe that)
For the life of me I still cant fathom why she remembered the date, never has this happened.

Can only get better, (I hope, please tell me it will, lol)
Bloody funny stuff mate, PML. Hopefully no broken bones, or worse, as a result of the unexpected anniversary remembrance
