Winnies 747 TD42 GQ
Hi everyone, this is my TD42 GQ. I bought it on the 9th of Feb 2013. It had 235,000kms on the clock with HEAPS of extras, the best being a turbo!
I am 3rd owner, first owner was an old guy who bought it brand new and never took it offroad, then an auto electrician bought it off him 2 years ago and did all the mods to it. Now it's my turn!
This is how it sat the day I picked it up.
2" GU suspension lift
2" body lift
Homemade cargo barrier
33" Maxxis muddies
4" stainless snorkel
Patroldocta airbox
Tinted windows
UHF with remote control mic
Portable 5W UHF with docking station
Boost, pyro and oil pressure gauges on A pillar
Reco'd GU injector pump with 11mm plunger
Reco'd injectors
Oil catch can
2nd alternator, 140A on top of the standard one
Custom made winch bar
13,000lb Chinese winch
LED light bar with cracked lens
Polycarb headlight inserts with HID globes
Central locking
MTQ turbo, Garret GT2876r making 25PSI of boost, fitted 2,000kms ago last December
MTQ log manifold
Braided oil + water lines
Roof cage + shovel/hi lift mounts
Let the fun begin!!!!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

It's currently peaking at 25lb boost. Too much IMO especially un intercooler. It has a boost controller. What is a safe setting?

What a beast!!
Mate 16 to 18 whole be plenty but a Dyno will sort it out properly. When do you pick it up? You should organize to bring it straight to Geelong and get Chris Dalton to tune it then drive it home.
Really really happy for you mate
