I made myself a fair dent in my sill on the weekend and want to know if its best to fiberglass out the bulk then bog or just bog the whole lot?

It's not a dent, it's character. So where did you add character to the body work?
Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....
Drill and use pops to pull most of dent out minimum bog,
Then make yourself some sliders

Yeh good idea three dogs.. I've already got some half made check the bar work thread.. And at toolangi somewhere up near the power lines
Build a true slider not those ponsey pipe angled side steps.
I'll put a pic here later for mounting option FYI, this style is more suited to the GQ than a GU

2nd that I've come down hard on my sliders(tjm sliders with brush bars) and pushed them into the sill putting a huge dent the whole way along rather than just where the impact was make sure they are tough
50m ID 4mm pipe, I'd hope so!
And going to brace the mounts aswell with 6mm plate
For a GQ this is a good mounting system, I had 12mm laser cut with holes in each corner that were tapped to 1/2" unc.
then I had more plates cut to match the one I welded to the chassis, bolt them on then using anything you can as a support. milk crate etc.
IMO I'd use thick walled steam pipe even 3" x 2" rhs on its side, pick up all your angles, then measure and cut supports and tack weld in place.
I have them on my other 4x4 and you can lift the 4x4 off the groung via them. Mine were a more touring style. But easy to think outside the box
2" pipe anything that wont squash on impact.

The only problem with that it Welding to the chassis and if I ever resell its not a dedicated rig![]()
