Hi All,
Attached is the email reply i got from old mate.. you know the old saying about when something seems too good to be true

well it seems this is one of the classic scams being done at the moment, where they say they are overseas etc and getting someone to sell for them.. apparently they ask for a deposit by bank transfer before you are allowed to see the car, then once they have money you will never hear from them again. In my line of work I have access to lots of scamming info, so I have passed this on to the relevant authority. Surely no-one in the Patrol forum world would have fallen for an asking price of only $17,500 for a 2004 TD42T when they are going for the ridiculous price of usually $40,000 and upwards! Cheers, Scotty
Here is the reply:
Thank you for the interest showed in my car, and sorry for the late reply but I have just moved to England with my job. Don't worry though, the car is still there, in Stuart Park NT. It was left to me in my father's will 2 months ago, and to be honest I have no use for a car and I never owned a car before and I don't even have a license, but I can assure you it runs as great as it looks, my father took great care of it. The price I am asking is $17.500 and it includes shipping anywhere in Australia. Because of this situation, me being in UK, I have made special arrangements that allow me to sell the car there without me being present and will allow you to inspect it, so if you are still interested in it please email me back so I can explain to you how can this be done safely for both of us. Thanks, Robert
