    No mate my French is actually very bad but I had some help from the wife. I actually have been to France quite a few times now and likely to go more in the future so be careful I might hold you to that drink! Would love to go for a ride in your car once its done. I know the area roughly where you are but have only travelled through it, I've often thought there must be some good tracks in the French countryside but modified 4x4's are pretty rare over there. Yours will be an exception!

    You are really welcome, I live close to "Moulins" city, In fact in france 4x4 are not often modified, because of insurance company that leave you in case of accident, but we can see some fine offroad vehicules time to time.

    Hi,

    After drying of the first layer, we find that the anti-rust spring pretty and Hammerite barely cover corners.



    And now, what had to happen eventually came out, a second and third coat of paint on bridges, tank, springs, two layers on various scrap heads, bolts, nuts, ...









    but also in the longitudinal history to protect the inside of the frame (before the wax hollow bodies). Rehabilitation is progressing well, the rear should be returned during the Christmas holidays, the silent-block are mounted, the front still requires a lot of hours (like the rest of the way) especially at the rehabilitation of spheres and bearing pivots, control of front wheel bearings simultaneously.



    Another small site in the same style, passage of rust converter in the box, the converter gives a nice effect to rust like barbecue after a drink too long (burnt effect).

    2011 GU8 ST 3.0 CRD, ARB Bullbar with IPF spotties, scrub bars and side steps, Snorkel, Dual Battery system, Waeco fridge, Turbo Timer, ARB Roof Rack with 5 IPF spotties across the front, Custom full Leather Bucket seats, DPchip, 3" Taipan exhaust, ARE Intercooler & scoop, Autron EGT/Boost and dual volt gauges, ARB front locker.

    Hi,

    Yay this is the beginning of the holidays, we will be able to rest ...

    Now that the first paintings are dry and black desire, reassembly of the rear axle is launched, nothing complicated, each piece having it up it's still not too hard, heavy, see "inmaniable" (rear axle weighs about 140 kg) but not hard, the result is OK,...Ok of the springs that I have not thought of spot (left or right) we will see later, so there is a chance that the springs are to reverse (a trifle).





    Saw that there was a dead on maneuvering the two braces front driveshaft: Removal! I've never done that, although the small side fat disgusting is not my cup of tea but a must stick to it, first discovered a lubricator is broken flush thread (you amaze me it the crisp in).



    Second discovery, the name of a dog is chasing the stiff μ £% ^ # @ end of junk! haaa finally here removed parts are queued paint before reassembly (a small bunch more in the workshop). One third discovery shaft is heavy and hard, ... ask my leg.



    Well what do we do now? a small face-lifting, it will change a bit. Rust converter box fasteners of the front, removing the media headlights, but total removal! into small lots (still more) before electrolysis plates and paint.








    Now the new cotton swab, I confirm the ends of the cotton swab before dirty and distorted view more "sagouinés" , surely a stroke of Super marmoset, plates brake heat shield are a bit battered (bravo boy, nsure that Super marmoset should not know that the piece of metal not cost "100 euros" away from Nissan).





    Brief removal of the hub, then circlip grease, grease, rings, screw rings, grease, ring game wheel bearing outer wheel, hey ho hey ho calm I do not know the names of all the things that go in, the brake disc that comes alone, he has yet to remove before reaching the big time of fun, but that would be for another time.

    Yes you are right, I dismantle the left side of the front axle yesterday, today I do the same with the right side, I will have a lot of paint to do saturday,... but all is ok.
