Do you have any vids saved on the hard drive, if so do they play and its just Internet vids that don't play or is it both saved and Internet vids that don't work?

Internet vids don't work at all. I have some vids with avi extensions on the hard drive. When I play them in media player I only get sound and no picture. I do have a player called VLC that plays them OK, but I can't use it to play internet vids.
Sounds like you're missing a codec on media player. try installing this http://www.mediaplayercodecpack.com/
VLC is a great player

x2, if the codec update doesn't work try re-installing media player.
Don't think this will help with Internet vids though
Try updating Adobe Flash Player if the codec and re installing media player doesn't work for internet vids: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Good going guys!! Videos now work in media player but I still can't get into youtube. It says page has been reset. It just times out. Any other ideas?
What browser are you using??? Firefox??
Try a different browser to see if the same happens also can you post a screenshot of the error you're getting

X2 on flash YouTube is flash based, that should fix ur problem. If not try a different browser
