    Got to give it to you you know you're stuff. This Is a Dawn, My other Buffallo forge co 611 dates to 1920..,
    ll go you this being later ,even the bigFella thinks its never been used, I'll set it up in shed next week and see how goes
    Going to fire up th forge and see what I can make thats simple for aroung the camp. My sheds turning into Museum.
    I'll be posting that plaque monday, BF thought it was funny and same as you nothing happened in 1897.

    This is a peter wright 55 kg solid block blacsmithe vice, I've since mounted it .
    Its a horse of a thing, gives the best blood blisters too when the handle slides down. over
    nearly 200 years old now cant see it falling apart yet. great leg vice, use them most days,
    would love a bigger anvil

    heres both of my Peter wright vices one is 3" other is 6" amazing to think these vices are hand made

    and for Ferret this is my Buffalo forge 611 post drill missing a few bits but have noticed this one has a handle you pull down on missing, easy enough to make, must be those straight cut gears you spoke about

    WOW thanks mate thats awesome great research to read for sure;
    this pic is a header tank out of a steam engine frome 1840-50,It's from FN QLD its getting polished next week I hope
    Only going to use as a beer table, have a piece of marble that fits on top. better I polish it than go to scrap its about 3' high and 2' round should look good. will Express post plaque tomorrow

    This is my anvil, given to me 30 years ago and still in use.
    It came out from England in about 1830, probably made about 1800 and it is HAND made.
