    National forum meet up

Well I'm home from the meet. What a cracker, I had an awsome time. It was great to meet the interstaters, AB,ROOFY and NISSHEAD. Hope you enjoyed Qld, and great to meet the other QLDers too!!
We went for a drive on tuesday and thursday, thursday was just a mild core drive but still good fun.

I didnt suffer much in the way of damage and couldnt be happier with how the ute performed, I rolled a tyre off the rim, badly cracked a radius arm bush and I had to give it a wheel allignment before I went home.

I have a few pics and vids.

This first pic really burns my p155 bigtime it is shameful and the reason why people want the area closed. Absolutely discusting

Whats one of my trip reports without pics of me flexxing the ute. I love it

if any of you doubt the maxxis trepadores have a look at the amount of crap stuck in the bead and it was still holding 12 psi, it didnt bloww off the bead until a fair way down the track

    Muddonk found himself a hole

some pics of the glasshouse mountains

the vids are uploading at the moment all I have is a bit of in-cab footage

    Cheers

Thanks for sharing mate. In the last pic of the mountain, is that a walking track up the middle?

Here is a few incab vids, I had macca86 in the passenger seat holding the phone on the jesus bar, he has done a brilliant job with the camera considering it would have been difficult to hold himself and the phone steady

this is a step up on the powerlines

here is little red, you can hear the bead popping a bit, the front left make awful noises, turns out the drag link and panhard rod are coming together under flex.

this is a rut on the big red chicken track. I drop the f-bomb on this, for those who dont like swearing.

Good stuff on nailing big red benny was an absolute awesome drive and you made it look easy. Good to see someone repping the GQ utes. I am so bummed I missed this I would have certainly been in there having a crack with you whether I made it or not, with or without damage. Awesome to see everyone enjoyed themselves and got to see what SE QLD has to offer for us that live here.

And as for the rubbish its a disgrace I dont know why it still happens as its free to dump rubbish at most tips these days and surely its gotta be more difficult getting to these locations than driving on sealed road to get to the tip. We should roll some trailers in there behind the utes one day and try and get rid off some of it. Would look cool flexing with a tray and trailer load lol.

You'd test a treg hitch out that's for sure
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward.
Whoever cannot take care of themselves without that law is both.
For a wounded man shall say to his assailant,
'If I live, I will kill you. If I die, You are forgiven.'
Such is the rule of honour.

lol I would even put the tow bar back on for that.

yeah that hole I got stuck in on bigred was a fair size hole. I couldnt hear anyone yelling directions I didnt realize it until I watch the vids but next time ill do it without stopping. little red is abit of a prick the incab footage was the first time I have done it without stopping...but I got a bead leak.

lovin the new power plant, on beerburrum-woodford rd I gave it a stab at 80km in 4th and the rear stepped out. In 3rd 70-80m fishies easy and I back off rolling it on at 50km I definately need a sway bar to keep it in check
