    Help !!

    G'day Forum World,

I have a '98 Model 4.5 ltr -- And the issue I'm having is the battery won't charge.

I can start the car and it runs then sort of sputters to death in about 5 mins and with a multimeter attached to the battery you can watch the voltage drop as the engine is running.

Also on the dash the Sub tank light, A/T Temp light and battery light are all lit up.

I am on my way now to check to see if the Alternator is dead. If it is not would anybody have any ideas where to start looking..

I would say your alternator is faulty.

Make sure belt is still on, with your voltmeter check charge rate at the back of the alternator and make sure charge fuse is not blown (fuse box under bonnet).
