I'm a bit biased being ex TLCCV my last truck twin pro locker on 350 chev troopy, but which is tougher, no brainer the GQ, just look at all the better COMP TRUCKS, look at winners of the OUTBACK CHALLENGE. So its the GQ for me cant see a GU winning,, And pulled out many, many GQ's and GU's with the troopy and vice versa on the odd trip

Then again why do GQ comp trucks have GU front and rear diffs grafted on, [width]????????????????????????

MAY ITS A MARRAIGE MADE IN HEAVEN???????????????

WHY NOT PUT A VOTING POLL GRAPH AT THE START like the footy one

    GQ's are F.O.R.Ds

GU's are the motorist's version of 'Blue Thunder'

I've been reading this thread with much amusement, HOWEVER...both camps are wrong, GU's are for the sensitive new age guy (or those with roids that need the softer ride), GQ's are for boys that wanna look manly.
All I can say is my Patrol project, the mighty MQ/MK is the beast to own, friggen thing loves taking my skin, eating up and spitting out grinders (up to my 3rd so far), has tractor and truck parts, is made of STEEL, drive it over a landmine and someone in china would feel the shock wave and before i took it off the road, EVERYONE gave way even if they had the right of way
Whoever disagrees with the saying "Might is right" obviously doesn't own a MQ

Neither - the mighty MK beat both.

Had a new partol parked next to my mk last year - the new partol was written of due to hail damage. The mk has a couple of little marks

Now that the MQ/MKs have entered the debate the answer is easy............. it must be the GQ! Not too rusty, not too plastic, not too old, not too underpowered, not too basic, not too computerised, not too barren, not too fancy............... JUST PERFECT!!!!!!!
