    Clutch pedal drops straight to the floor on my TD42, Master,slave or hydraulic lines

    Hey Guys, Went 4x4 up in the hills around Perth for the day and had a few heavy knocks,
    Drove home with out any issue except of a new whirring sound that didnt stop when the clutch was depressed, and the brakes were pulling to the right a bit, thought that some bearings might be buggered or something similar. Got home with no other issue.
    Next morning went to take the car to get cleaned and no clutch, the pedal depressed straight to the floor, looked underneath and the boot seal had gone on the slave and there was about 5mm max in movement of the slave rod. Also noticed some fluid on the inside of the engine bay down onto the chassis you can see on the RHS. Theres no burst in the hose from where I can see. I would like to know what are tell tales for the master cylinder being buggered and any other information someone might have about this. I would like to attempt to fix on my own. Its a very clean wagon and would like to keep it up and running. The clutch is also boosted so maybe there is something there also.

    check your levels first to see if the resivour is empty if it is fiil it and get someone to depress the clutch while you check the lines and cylinders for any leaks, could just have been an air bubble as well, but sounds like a leak somewhere with the oil everywhere. ( make sure to have safety glasses on as you dont want to get the fluid in your eye's.

    I have changed the master and slave cylinder today and bleed everything, checked the vacuum pump is sweet, no worries there and getting minimal movement. I also found the boot seal popped on the clutch fork and had been through mud and water, so wondering if i could hose it all out and get some cleaner in there and some new grease to help the fork move as that is pretty minimal also, my mate who came to help is a transmission mechanic and he was at a loss also. The pin on the end pf the clutch fork I think has popped out also which I am hoping I can get back on tomorrow without having to remove any housing...

    Well anyonw who reads this might like to know if they have the same problem. I had to replace the clutch booster as the diaphram had a hole in it and wasnt holding any vacuum.
    Cost me $50 from gumtree, lucky as they were going for $225 unrecond - $325 recond with waranty and up to $750 for a brand newy. Runs beautiful now with all the new clutch gear.
