    1998 Patrol ST Diesel 2.8L help/advice??

Hi, I "acquired" a Nissan Patrol Turbo Diesel about 12 months ago through a friend and she has hardly had any use since so I'm thinking about selling. I know nothing about 4x4s or diesel engines but I am told that this model Nissan is a popular one and get so many people commenting on what a great car they are - however I agree with some of the posts I've seen regarding them being a bit on the "gutless" side, especially up hills. Anyway, I don't want to intrude on your forum but thought someone might be interested in the Nissan who would do it more justice than I ever would. I am also looking for some advice from anyone who has come up against any issues with glow plugs for this model as I had a set replaced around this time last year when she wouldn't start up in the early morning cold weather, now I'm having the same issue this year and thinking I've been duped on the glow plug replacement or surely they should last longer than 12 months?? Anyone know of a good diesel guy in the Newcastle are I could take her to? I'd like to fix her up a bit before selling and try to get some idea of value.

Do you make sure you let it glow? and not just try to crank it over straight away?
Also, we like to get new members to head over to the introduction section of the forum and introduce yourself there, you'll get a much better response from other members.
    Cheers, Brendan.
