Wholesale Automatics Full manual valve body

    Has anyone tried these?
If so, can you enlighten me on the benifits you got? Thinking of going this way or even a stage 2 valve body.

Can't help you one the Full manual valve body

My old man changed his original to a Extreme Stage 2 valve body from wholesale and was very happy with it. ( This was for a GQ )

I'm pretty sure Taslucas ( lucas ) is running an Extreme valve body ( I assume stage 2 ) from wholesale, but not sure if his gearbox is still playing up or not still, so might not really notice the benefit yet off the upgrade. ( GQ as well )

I would get one if I had the money without even thinking about it.

Any links for the full manual? have not seen anything about them.

    Cheers

    Todd

Thanks for the link, still doesn't explain 2 me what a full manual valve body is compared to the extreme stage 1 or 2 valve bodies.

I'll have a look into it some more when I get a chance as I am interested 2 know that it actually is.

I'm running one mate - amazing difference. The changes are super sharp (abrupt if light on the pedal, and a reason some people don't like them) and with the increased oil flow, mine appears to run a little cooler - not sure if this is a listed benefit or not, but mine appears to do it regardless.

My turbo was murdering the old box causing it to flare badly on changes - nothing like that now though ...

I should drop over to your store and you can take mine for a blot to feel the difference ... wanted a reason to pop over and check the place out anyways!! lol

In general the shift kits may increase line/cluch/band pressure,(its a bit like having a heavy duty clutch in a manual), less chance of slip, means greater reliability under harsh loads/conditions, it can make shifts feel faster and firmer, but can be harsh on the driveline (banging into gear) and annoying if not set up correctly by a pro.

A Full Manual Valve body is top of the line performance, but will mean you have to select gears just like a manual, the gearbox is no longer auto, the gear you select, is the gear the box is in, this means you have to remember to select "first" at the lights,(or you will be taking off in top gear, very bad for a auto) and move the selector through the gears as you speed up (just like a manual gearbox with no clutch)

I have/had a manual valve body set-up in my turbo torana, great for a "toy" the gearbox does "exactly" what you command in a instant (even went into reverse when doing 60k forwards as i found out selecting it by accident), i love my manual valve body, but i would not have a manual valve body in a everyday road car, it will totally defeat the joy of having a auto (ie, not having to change gears)

Your welcome anytime, did it improve your economy? Does it feel more responsive? What dollars are we talking for 1?
