So what sort of fifo roster are you on? Tried to get work up north a few years back but soon found out it was a case you who you know not what you know, so lost interest, started a family, so lost even more interest in fifo. Im sure the missus would prefer me working away though hahaha

8/6 7/7 (days not weeks) roster, nice and friendly unlike the 2/2 (weeks) that the open pit guys do YUK!
plenty of contract work going on, but it involves long stints on the end of a hose. . . think they get about $40p/h, from there you get to progress to a process tech if you're lucky enough. It is a bit of who you know not what, but it is changing slowly.

Not too bad, I used to do the 2 on 2 off (weeks) on the rigs in the north sea, absolutely loved it. Gave me plenty of time for a break if I wanted a little holidaysomewhere in the mediteranian.
