I am replacing RD28 motor in my 96 GQ with a TD42. Can I pull out the motor and gearbox together??
The weight is not an issue for me, I just want to know how much I have to do to get it out. can I leave the A/C condensor in place etc.
yes mate sorry I am new to posting and I asked this question in the wrong section I just want to know if I have to pull then entire front end apart or can I get away with leaving most in place.
ur alright mate wasnt getting up you um all i remember is they can come out together sorry cant be more help one of the other gurus on here will be able to help more cheers
When i did mine i pulled them out seperate due to the weight on the engine hoist i was afraid it might topple over.
I left the ac condensor in and the compressor only to find out i had to swap the compressor later on anyway but you may be lucky their was a few different types.
Heres some info on my swap http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...ight=rd28+td42
