need to get a new winch cable....

Hi ya. My Patrol I just bought has a winch but it has no cable. I have seen these new synthetic cables you can buy. The ones on Ebay i see, and see on the flash ad's for Ebay here, list them but they are a lot cheaper than the one sold in stores. Even the ones from Super -erm, cheap.
I very much doubt I will even use the winch but at the same time don't want to be buy junk. any thoughts?

    Thanks.

If you have a Low Mount winch then 28 to 30m of 9 or 10mm synthetic rope will be a winner mate, the stuff on ebay will be fine. Beware that Synthetic winch rope is not UV stable and will be affected if you just put in on the winch and drive around. Consider keeping it in a bag in the back and putting it on when you go bush only.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Are they anything like the material used in tie down straps i learn't my lesson with them and bought good quality heavy duty ones and they have lasted me for years as opposed to the cheap n nasties that deteriorated within 6 months in the weather.
