that part looks like the 1 way valves for fish aquariums.. to stop water siphoning into a air pump.
thanks all.
its not trust me, the one your thinking of on a aquarium only lets air go 1 way and not the other, this valve has a spring inside it, which allows the water to travel through it when having the pressure of the water pump on it, the fish tank one doesnt, to elaborate, the water is leaking out when parked on a hill, its because the spring has gone soft, if you put a 1 way valve in from fish tank either A you have to make it not let water come out at all which means you cant use wiper anyways, or you turn it around so water will continue to flow through it, which doesnt solve the issue, hope that made sense

Yep true, spring may go soft.
the other cause can be a bit of calcium or some deposit can jamb valve open so it drains dry when nozzle is lower than tank.
and I did fix valve in 5min as described in previous post.
parked inclined on my driveway overnight, no drips anymore.
Cheers

I had to park my Patrol on the street last night (first time) and we live on a hill. Went to take the bins out later on and noticed water everywhere on the road behind the car. Freaked out for a second until I saw the drips coming from the rear wiper. Sure enough, this morning I checked the water tub and it was bone dry. Glad there's a thread on this. Will have to investigate the wiper check valve.
Same here. Got dribble stains down the door. Never noticed until I remobed the tyre..

I've got a 2003 GU, so I assume the check valve is either in the rear driver's side quarter panel compartment (with jack etc) or inside the barn door. I've never attempted to remove a door panel before. Any advice on how, without breaking or ruining anything? Perhaps a link to a video? Cheers fellas.
