    Yes mate, i made the template out of 3mm then made the plate out of 19mm. I painted it with a spray can of Hammertone Charcoal bought from bunnings $15 a can or so. Spray can with a ball mate. Too easy

    Most places that sell sound systems for cars will have spacers in different thickness's for most jobs and to cure the prob of MDF swelling its easy paint it it seals it and keeps the water out or clean the drain plugs on ya doors too..try jaycar for ya speaker replacments they have some grunty stuff with a small footprint

    Great job - looks easy enough. I am going to make some this weekend. Man the Nissan speaker are crappy.

    I have a question about the ugly plastic protection under the door trim, what the manner of removing it ?

    Hi mate, sorry I am not sure I understand your question mate? Do you want to know how to take the door trim off or how to cut the plastic?

    On the inside of the door or the TI trim on the outside if the door? The inside trim is a single piece and unclip a as a single sheet.
