When you say "uneven" are they scalloping (blocks wearing more on the leading or trailing edge than the other end?). Maybe worn shockies as that tends to cause scalloping and uneven wear???

After reading this thread it's got me thinking about another wheel alignment/balance.
I recently bought second hand split rims with near new tyres on them, and now I get a a scary wobble at around 85, and a lesser wobble at 110. I had them all balanced, and an alignment. by the time I got it home, one weight was nearly right off, so I took it back and the re did everything.
They said it's perfectly balanced, "it must be an out of round tyre" but no they couldn't tell me which one...
Does this sound like a load of BS?

That's got to be irritating! Hope the cause is revealed and Lulu is back to decorously cruising.

Have you got access to another set of wheels and tyres that don't cause problems? That's how I proved to the tyre outlet that the Pirelli's I had were out of round.... just looking to eliminate a possible cause mentioned earlier.

I agree with the out of round tyres. I had the death wobbles a few years back. I watched the tyres be balanced twice to zero and yet it still wobbled. I had 2 out of 4 tyres out of round. And every time I would swap then front to back it would still wobble. I changed every bush and the wobble went away after borrowing some other wheels.
