KC daylighters are spotties...Should have mentioned that bit...lol...They used to be pretty good back in the day Plassy!

Yeah it won't hurt I guess. The main reason for the stocking was to try and stop water and mud from the rear tyre flicking up as well....Oh yeah, plus It's se*xy black stockings...Reorrrr!!!!

I must be doing something wrong with my Iphone...These photos look extremely poor!!!

Bluey's getting a makeover this weekend folks.

Unfortunately I didn't post up any pics of the rust before hand but at the moment I have removed all rust from three areas.

two 5 cent pieces on roof just above gutter, 3 decent lines under the gutter's edge (same side) and surface rust on same side quater where buggalugs reversed into a tree.

At the moment, It's bogged and etch primed and ready to paint. Just picked the matched paint up today in aerosol cans. Brace yourself for the cost if you are doing this....OUCH!!!

Anyways, you get two cans...The colour in one and the gloss can with built in hardener which activates by pushing a plug in the bottom of the can...Never seen that before actually!

I'll take some before and after's this weekend and pray that I spray nice and even...lol...I used to do a lot of airbrushing in my teenage days so hoping I still have the knack...LMAO

    Stay tuned!!!

EDIT: Check under your gutters for rust too. Closer inspection found 3 nice lines completely rusted through on the right hand side which is hard to notice.

    Ok, so far so good...lol

Below photo is what I ended up masking to avoid hard lines. I only have hard lines on the side of the indicator, might be a hardish line on the back roof but I don't think it will be noticable once the masking tape comes off and along the contour roof line which will be hardly noticeable.

    Soon find out anyway!!!

Colour is done and just waiting for it to dry now ready for the gloss.

I had just enough in the can to do the whole job with 4 coats...JUST!!!

I'm happy with the coat and happy with the blending too. There is a slight line you can see at the top of the D pillar from the primer but nothing to complain about.

Also, ignore the dents in the quarter panel. The previous owner took to it with the ball hammer and I don't think It's possible getting those out without heating up the panel and stretching, shrinking, etc to smooth out. My main priority was to get rid of the rust on the roof and I thought I would just stop the rust on the dent whilst I was doing the roof.

The roof blended perfectly. Highly recommend if your doing this to mask along the stylish GQ roof aerodynamic contour lines as this looks brilliant!!

So far so good, going to spray the gloss now!!!

    Ok, all done!

I am very happy with the result. The colour matched perfectly to the 21 year old faded paint, the blends are good, the coating is spot on.

The only thing which is expected, is the gloss is sparkling new compared to the original paint which does stand out a bit.

I think a good cut and polish and a month or two of wear and tear will make it unnoticeable.

This is a very easy job to do everyone. In fact after doing this I wouldn't be surprised if there is a DIY complete car body spray post in a year or two.

It's hard to show what it looks like in real life with these photos.

Anyways, how's the reflection from the windows....LMAO
