A couple of pics from my bush walk yesterday, If you hear / see me refer to Jacksons Lane, this is it, had a few good tracks, fun to drive after having some rain. Shame it got closed down, one of the tracks leads to a very nice lookout
On the way in nowadays
Now you can drive around the gate.....but would i do something like that
The drive down to the river
The fenced of area was a good boggy area to play in after heavy rain, in the process of becoming an electric model club play area!
Just another warning!
1 of 3 river crossings if i remember correctly
Just another pic of the river

Good shots mate, why did they close the track down, too many yahoos or???
My guess is the new houses along riverside road, Quarry on right hand side of river and yeh yahoos as wellIts still a very nice spot, but stuffed if i could walk all the way up to the lookout!!!
Here is a link to a Google earth map i just done, so you can see were riverside road and the quarry is. And the tracks we use to drive, some nice rock ledges to drive as wellSome of my mates before i got my 4x4, use to drive up a rock ledge at the lookout, It was very close to the drop off down to a very deep gully, I would of hated to see someone roll it.
Best to change the map to satellite view.....shows the terrain better
