RTA is killer in gladstone, what size lift is Safe?

Hey guys, ive just recently moved to gladstone queensland and was wondering what size lifts people are flying under the radar with in the region? I come from maryborough where 8 inch lifted trucks are childs play so i'm going to feel like a girl scout going home with a lil four inch spring lift and 33s. Also if anyone has access to the legal regs regarding spring lifts? Im an ex mechanic so dont be afraid to get all tecnical on me.

Go within the guidelines and no probs
Go outside the guidelines, and expect some fines and a trip to a machinery station

Isnt the tyre size 25 MM larger than a factory option ???
