I did a big trip last year with a group towing campers up through the centre and i was 1 or 2 ltrs better than a mate with a CRD ZD30 towing a slightly heavier trailer, i was a little surprised by that. I was pushing 17lts/100. hard driving on rough roads with 24psi in the car and trailer i got up to 24lt/100 but now am averaging 13 to 14 in commuter mode.

Have you have the thing on a dyno? it might be worth while. I put mine on a dyno before the trip and picked up 28rwkw in an afternoon and up'ed the boost to 15. very pleased with my output and results.

In relation to your fuel gauge?? a bit weird mate, you should have a good 10lts left and that should be good on your figures for 60odd kms?

Dyno and then maybe a chip mate and you would be on a winner i reckon, good luck mate.
After tax time I'm looking at getting a chip (one from the UK with 8 different tunes - I found it on this site I think), and exhaust and Scangugae. After that I may see about getting some dyno time to get it all settled in. Not looking for bulk power, just one a bit more plus more torque and hopefully better consumption if/when I drive it sensibly

    Cheers

Okily dokily - did another fuel test and this time over 480ish klms I got 14.37L per 100klms. So nothing really exciting there.

The tyres are still at 35 PSI and I have turned the snorkel head towards the windscreen as i read on a forum this send less air down the intake and hopefully we might see a change in the numbers

    Cheers

Howdy fellas - bit of an update on stuff I've bought but isn't on Bruce yet

I have some TJM 2" coils and shocks to level out the front a bit - they should be going in this weekend.
I have also bought a Tekonsha P2 Prodigy brake controller for the camper trailer.

    And most importantly..........

I have bought a Chip Express chip/module for the 3.0L - hopefully this will give it some more poke. It's coming from the UK so hopefully it arrive mid next week. Can't wait to put this thing on!

As for stuff I've actually done to Bruce - I had new rear pads in and cleaned the MAF in search for better fuel economy.

    Cheers

Just come back from getting the front suspension in.

Measurements before are (from bottom of rim to bottom of flare)
Passenger side 733mm and drivers side 742mm
    AFTER
Passenger side 818mm and drivers side 820mm

They should settle 15 or so mm so from where I was I've gained roughly 90mm on each side

I've gone from a nose down look to slightly bum down look

    Cheers
