Well I've been working away steadily on getting my new suspension sorted, and got a bit of a fright when I did the figures on what I had spent so far (roughly $1600), with another $500 for two new panhard rods still to come.
I've added all new Ultimate Suspension long travel shocks all round, and now have Superior Engineering swaybar extensions front and back to suit the new lift.
After blowing a uni on my trip away with the 4WD Action crew, and then fitting a secondhand tailshaft to keep me going, I wanted to replace the unis on the seconhand shaft, and whilst doing this found that the replacement shaft had a few issues, with a grease retaining plate at the end of the spline having come loose and floating around inside the shaft. I've now got a booking with a driveline specialist to have some work done on the shafts, and to hopefully build one good shaft out of the two I now have.
Bit slow on this update, but I took one busted tailshaft and one out of balance tailshaft to a driveline specialist in Newcastle and had them build one good shaft out of the two.
New unis all round, so hopefully that's the end of my tailshaft dramas for a while.
