    This is how I ran the wiring to my rear work light (GU) without having to drill through the rear door panel.

    I cut a hole in the bottom left of the plastic trim and just ran the wiring from the light pole across to the trim (between the spare wheel and door) in through the trim and then just into the original harness going into the body (near the hinge).

    I was able to run a 5 core wire harness by doing this and have no problems with dust or water entry.

    This is the 2nd GU I have done it this way with no problems.

    I was able to remove this set up from my first GU when I sold it and you were unable to tell it was even there.

    Rod sorry for the thread hijack but I thought some people might be like me and not like the idea of drilling a hole in their panel.
