Hello I am just some dude from Tasmania looking for some assistance. I lived in Queensland for almost 30 years and got about from Darwin to Devonport during my work holidays. While I was in QLD my daily driver was a "Nissan Patrol manual GQ 10/1998 2 door Cab Chassis Diesel 4.2 Litre, TD42 16 12v OHV Diesel Injection".
I moved back to Tasmania to assist my ailing mother and we needed a smaller vehicle to enable mum to enter and exit a vehicle without causing any undue pain or discomfort during her many doctors appointments and in doing so this compact car became my daily driver for the past two years. Having said this I do use the GQ from time to time for more utility requirements like domestic firewood collection, removal of general garden waste and the moving of large items. So The GQ gets some use usually about six to ten weeks apart.
