    Brake Light Switch

Have not posted for ages but have lurking to keep up to date.
A common problem with GU and GQ's is the brake lights staying on. Most often caused by the broken little plastic insert that the plunger of the switch on brake pedal hits when braking. Photo attached of old broken and new part.
Nissan in their wisdom want $38 for a replacement. Real cost would be a couple of cents.
However, it was my lucky day when I was advised the a Honda part was identical and only cost $5. Guess which one I purchased. My son had same problem on his GQ and now GU and put a small bolt in instead of the plastic replacement.
It took 30 seconds to fix with the new part.
