Have had my Patrol for a month or so now and the couple of times it has rained down here in Melbourne I have been underwhelmed by the performance of the windscreen wipers. Not only were the rubbers crap but they seem to be really short which I put down to the window being more upright than my previous car (Forester). Anyway, given the forecast for some rain in Melbourne today (finally) I went to Autobarn and got some replacement wiper blades. When I took the wipers off to change them over I noticed that the passenger wiper was longer than the driver's side wiper which I thought was odd as I am pretty sure that it's usually the other way around. Once I changed the blades over I put them back on with the longer one on the driver's side and it seems to be OK and so I am assuming that the previous owner must have managed to mix them up at some stage when he was replacing the wiper blades.

But can anyone confirm if the longer one should definitely be on the driver's side??
