Kool vid Kat! The FJ45 (I think, not my specialty) at the end looked the goods to me! Ok ok this is a NP forum but that was still a pretty good rig IMO.

Back in the days it was a real adventure to get a vehicle to the tip. Maybe the reason it doesn't burn me up to do it now is the fact I know a guy who did it in a Great Wall. Adventure gone so need to look deeper now.

FJ denote the petrol 2F engine variant and BJ is the diesel 2H ,,,, 40 is the shorty of snowy river fame
I think a BJ47 is the Troopy. BJ-FJ 45 may be the ute /table top

I did that same trip in '83 mind blowing imho.
We had a G60 3 speed work truck top speed 90kph.
A few guys took it to the Gulf again an epic journey 27 flat tyres [bar treads] at the time
that was just on the way up.....lol
