How to clean mud out of your tyre bead.

Hey guys thought I would post up how to clean the mud out of my tyre bead as It can be quite common and it's an easy fix instead of costing up to $30 for a tyre shop to do it.

All you need is a jack. Hi lift preferable.
An air nozzle and a good compressor.(I used my old chippy nail gun because it has more go than my 12v car one)

First make sure all the air is out of tyre.
Place your tyre and jack at a point where the base of the jack is going to miss the rim and compress the tyre at the same time.
Now start jacking using the car s weight to break the bead on the tyre you should hear a light pop when it is broken. I found that I had compressed the tyre nearly halfway before it popped.
Remove jack and tyre from vehicle

Next using your air nozzle and I used s&m old wood chisel blow and scrape out all the mud around the rim.

Once it's all cleaned I sprayed wd40 around the bead for lube.

Re fill the tyre with air just make sure your not standing or have your head over the rim and tyre whilst adding air.

If you don't have a bigger compressor you could use the one at the servo just use the flat tyre setting and Bobs your uncle.
