Vendors should pay period - it's an advertising method that you'd pay for elsewhere so why not share a percentage (something like 0.00000000000001% is perfectly fine! lmao).
About time I say, and happy to contribute - HOWEVER, like all advertising mediums AB, the revenue from vendors will only continue to come IF the forum members continue to buy - whether because its a crap product, or because its expensive, or whatever, if the product doesn't sell, then vendors won't continue to contribute and will look for alternate means of advertising - IF that were the case, then you're back to square one, so whilst happy to pay, there has to be some promotion of products from paid vendors over and above that of standard advertising from other mediums (like google ads etc).
