I'm slowly building up stuff for my truck to go on a trip I guess, not sure where/when. I just thought I'd throw a list of what I have and what I'd like, and maybe you can help with what I should have.
First off, I have a bullbar, sump protector, rock sliders, plate steel rear bar with towing points and a towbar. I have a 9500 mean mother winch, a winch block, and a dozen d shackles of varying sizes, plus a quality nylon piece with a caribeena on one end and clip on the other I keep on my bar for quick attaching for a strap. I also have a quality snatchem strap and a nylon tow rope, I also have a roof basket with an awning. Of course hand, ear, eye protection.
I carry a long handle shovel and high lift jack on my roof mount, and a spare tyre and another high lift jack on the spare wheel mount with the attachment for bullbars fitted to it. I have a dual battery set up too.
Inside I have a stereo with GPS, DVD, etc etc, 2 CB's, a handsfree car kit, and a sprung drivers seat. Out back I have a cargo barrier, drawers, an ironman fridge, general tools (pliers, screwdrivers, shifters, hammer, pry bar, socket set) and a few other odds and sods, and my bottom drawer carries camping stuff like gumboots, coat, kitchen stuff, soap, torch and a big heavy duty mean mother compressor.
For safety I run 3 cameras on the car, 1 records front, 1 records rear and the other is a HD camera I use when I go off road. They're for my own protection and the rear one offers a small amount of vision when reversing as most of my rear window is covered with a 35" tyre.
I'm planning on fitting a water tank on the roof, making a ladder for easier access, fitting 2 Jerry can racks to the roof basket, I have a front locker and air compressor to fit up and I'm also looking at fitting a small tank so I have some compressed air to blow off my shoes or to clean the truck inside. I'd like an inverter, and also a small 12v food warmer, plus a camping stove and some good cast cook wear. I'm also thinking of making a fold down table that bolts to my rear door, but as my drawers are a tight fit, I may have to opt for another system.
