After reading the discussions on the site, thought it best to get myself involved and make the most of the knowledge and experince out there. And hopefully help others myself where I can.

I've got a 2006 GUIV, 3 Ltr diesel, automatic patrol wagon, and loving it.

No modifications, but have changed the tyres to Yokohama Geolander 12 (A/T-S).

Upgraded from an X-Trail which I took through LC mountain park (only just, camp rd was a killer), Fraser, Moreton and Teewah beach.

So far I've done Moreton and Bribie with the Patrol, but looking forward to a trip to north Fraser and Straddie.

I'll be checking out what others have to say about setting myself up for a bigger trip to make sure all goes well.
