small tip - check your middle row of seats release lever . 15 min job

Didn't get time to progress ' hard to diagnose rear wheel noise today ' but thought i would pass on a tip to check the rear seat release lever ( or middle seat row if you have the dickie seats).

The lever I'm referring to is the one that allows the seat base to swing forward and has a webbing pull strap to actually release the catch - one of mine was not releasing and the strap had in fact come off.

So, if you can still release the seat i suggest swinging it up , removing the plastic cover - 3 screws- and replacing the webbing or putting an additional tie on the lever, about a 15 minute job .

With my seat jammed shut i had to remove the whole seat and catch to get access to the lever . Not hard but a PIA compared to checking while it still works !

There you go - a small tip like I said . The problem is caused by using an alloy rivet in the strap which eventually corrodes in contact with the steel.

Found $1.50 under the seat though ! and a few bits of fast food which nothing has touched for what could be years.......... Cheers
