I raised a post a while ago about diagnostics (15TH Jan ) but this one has got me beaten, as mentioned before this was the second motor failing from over-boost (cracked & holed pistons) towing 2.5 ton caravan.
Block Overhauled, new pistons, rings, bearings, refurbished injection pump, new MAF sensor, everything elso OK spent about $5K so far. But she won't rev above 2000-rpm, put air con on & revs halve, runs smooth at idle, the exhaust gas only climbs to a fraction above 200deg c at any time, -no fuel..hence turbo running & has limited boosting, Exhaust & cat converter all ok as I have run disconnected. Blocked & unblocked EGR sys and made no difference, Leak tested intercooler, pipes & hoses all ok, Timing spot on, with glow plugs or injectors out motor turns over very easy with spanner @ front pulley.
Have checked all fuel lines, purged out back to tank, new fuel filter, all hoses tight & no leaks.
I am stumped,
Is there a limp mode that stays locked @ low fuel/revs until Mr Nissan can enter some sort of a secret overide code????
