I would like to get a second opinion but no diesel experts in my local area seem to answer their phone............d'oh!
One guy who my normal mechanic found said the CRDs are starting to lose turbos - problem is if the turbo goes it's usually cos of the impeller blades contacting the housing which means metal on metal contact, which means tiny bits of metal being ingested by the ZD30 which means that it could go bang as well................SH1T!!!
So I'm gunna start negotiating with Nissan for them to pay for the repair and then warrant the motor for the next 12 months. Wish me luck!!!!!!!
Oh, and the non genuine quote was $450 ish cheaper based solely on the cost of the turbo.
Does anyone know what exact type of turbo is in the CRD ZD30?
