    Lift Kits & Suspension

    Hi all,
I recently bought a 2000 GU Patrol. Its my first 4x4 and was hoping to get some advice. I am limited to 2" lift due to the height of my garage but there are so many options to chose from that it confuses the sh!t out of me.
I have been to a few retailers but dont want to be conned into getting something just because they sell it. Help is wanted from troll owners.
I would prefer to still have a comfortable ride but also have the extra ability of doing some decent off road work.
    cheers.

Welcome to the forum mate, don't forget to post up an intro when you get a chance.

Go to a dedicated 4wd shop and discuss with them your needs of your vehicle and they will help you choose the right type.

You could put up a thread here asking for members to give you some information on good honest 4wd shops in Perth area and I'm sure someone will send you in the right direction.

Personally I think Old Man Emu is a great brand and have only recently purchased a 2" GU lift for my GQ and the on and offroad driving are both excellent!!!

    Cheers AB
I have heard a lot about OME gear and am lead to believe they may well be the best, but i am also hoping to get opinions on other brands such as IronMan, Snake Racing etc.

I went dobinson springs n shocks in a 4" lift and am happy as a pig in poop. They were part of an entire kit incl extended radius arms adj panhards and ext control arms extended brake lines etc etc. On and off road have been great and i have tried "bottoming" them out but so far havent been able to.
