    hey mate, i'm about to do a very similar job on my gq, just wondering whether you had any issues with pillars moving once you had cut them and if so how you prevented that. looks like youve done a beautiful job on yours, your clearly someone with a bit on know how.

    This is a very old thread, so you might not get a reply. The way I would do it is to pop rivet some temporary struts diagonally on the inside metal work to the floor. Then do the cut and weld on the new panel work before removing the struts.
    My advice is: not to follow my advice.
