Awesome mate. How you describe the Geosurvey track was how the whole track was past the Hay River. I spent 3 days or more in low 1. Was a slog mate.

Glad you had a good run mate, sounds like you were in no hurry and just cruised along.

Ghee Wood must be getting bloody scarce out there now if it's had that much traffic!!

How is the night sky mate!! MAGNIFICENT!!
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Sounded like you had a good time. Cannot believe there were defined tracks, like Darren, when we did it in 2010 there were no tracks most of the time.
Did you sign the book at Geo-Survey Hill? How long ago was the last entry before you?
We did Geo-Survey Hill and Geo-Center in 2012 and the entry before ours at Geo-Survey was over a year before.

Yeah i was imagining what it would have been like, would have been a slog but bloody epic i reckon. Past the hay was a little rougher definatly spinifex country was still easy cruising.

Yep sleeping under the stars every night in the swag was AMAZING. Pretty lucky had near a full moon at the start of the trip then was down to a crescent and not up in the night in the desert so had some pretty clear skies.

Yeah signed the book. Think the last entry was a few months ago, don't think to many people go down there fortunatly. Some of the guys that got their permits later said it that it wasn't permitted. To be honest I'm not sure how many people would bother with permits and permission. Yeah still reasonable amounts of wood but there's definatly more pressure out there.

Whistling Kytes everywhere along the river.

Sturt Desert Pea on the way to Dalhausie.

A bit of water around Hamilton station on the way in.

    Dalhausie ruins.

Crested Pigeon at Dalhausie. Spent about four days here waiting for the rest of the crew. Was very relaxing and certainly made use the springs for sure! Roofy even went in for dip, had to make some shorts by cutting down some jeans and then were blinded by very white legs hahaha . . .

    Doesn't really need an explanation. . .

Poor old BT50 out the back. . .

On the way to Andado. Was a bit of water around in the western side but was starting to dry up. A few weeks earlier would have been tough.

Old Andado, we arrived just in time for tea & scones yum!! Very cool place. .

    This one's a classic i reckon. . .

Mac Clarke reserve - Wadi Trees (Acacia puce). Very cool spot only the spots there found and up to 1000 years old
