    Greetings from FarEast of Russia.

    Hello, Sirs.

I'm from Vladivostok - the city in the very FarEast of Russia.
Please, sorry for any kind of grammar mistakes in my english, cause it's not my native language, but i'll try to do my best.
Have been driving my dad's JDM Patrols - Nissan Safari's (there're very few Patrols in our region, but really much Safari's, of course because of Japan's proximity) for 10+ years since i'd started driving when i was 18. There was for different Safari's total in our family, which had changed each other successively. All of them were 5-door wagons with high roof. The first one was, MQ/MK/260 SD33T, second one was GQ/Y60 TD42 naturally aspirated manual tranny, third one was '94 GQ/Y60 TD42T automatic tranny 24v and the latest one (present) is also GQ/Y60 TD42T automatic but '96 12v Kingsroad (two air heaters and two air conditioners, the freezer in the backyard and Y61-style steering wheel with airbag).

I've started a members ride thread which can be found here: http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...East-of-Russia

Thank you, mate. Would be glad to see you there. Our city is pretty beautifull and unusual because of location on hilly terrain washed by the sea from the three sides, love it so much.

I always wanted to go, and then do the Trans Siberian Train

I never knew there was a Navy base there - until a mate was telling me - he was in the Indian Navy and was based there a couple of times in the 1980's

"The world is tight (or small)" =) One of my friends had gone to Australia since he finished higher education what was 5 years ago. He is architect. And just few days ago he returned back home at first time through those 5 years for short vacation and visiting his family and friends.

Trans Siberian - yeah, it's really epic, about 10k kms. But if you won't make halts to get acquainted with any localities, it would be just "totally strange 10 days living in the train ". So, my dream is about road trip on my shorty with close friends from Vladivostok to the Arkhangelsk and "back again" for about month or so, getting stopped in areas of astonishing nature "monuments" such as Baikal lake or Altai mountains, for example. Hope one day it finally come true.
'94 GQ SWB, factory TD42T, Manual tranny, factory's vacuum rear difflock, 33.5x10.5R18 Toyo M/T's on Mayhem wheels, +1 ToughDog coils, Procomp ES9000 shocks — daily driver: no winches, no bulleys or any other "hard stuff"
