I get the whole WA bit, but I'm always waiting for these guys, everything else can come from anywhere else in the country (including WA) or overseas in less time.

I spoke to the local mechanic today about flushing the engine out. He said seeing as thought the radiator is out just pop a heater hose off an flush that till clear, then block the heater outlet which will force it through the engine and out the bottom radiator hose (which is at the top. Your engine is now full of fresh water. Install radiator and add sufficient coolant concentrate to treat the full system and top up with water. Job done. That's all they do when you order a coolant flush.

But then, aren't you left with tap water in the system that hasn't been flushed out ?? I thought de-mineralized/destilled water is a must.

    Will do Stropp, thanks.

Found out my fan hub was not delivered last Friday as they had my address wrong, so it's just been sitting there patiently waiting for somebody to enquire about it. I hate currier companies, customer service is the last thing on their minds. Hopefully I'll drive out to their depot in the morning, pick it up and then put this bloody thing back together.

I'm not going to flush it now, simply just fill it up and go, couldn't be stuffed pulling the exhaust off to get to the drain plug.

PS: Picked up a new thermostat and gasket for it also.
    Cheers Rod

Its 2015 mate not 1950. I can understand what your saying but the fact something cant get across the country in a night is shite. (Being that across said country is only a 5 hour flight)

It's not the transit time as such that sh1ts me, it's the courier companies attitude when a parcel doesn't get delivered as apparently scheduled. Rather than just putting it on the truck the for the next day (which on 3 seperate occasions, various courier companies have said this is their process) they just put it in the corner and leave it there until somebody starts making enquiries about. Utterly pathetic service if you ask me.

Oh yeah, have you seen he video on faceache currently doing the rounds where the courier (big brand name courier) pulls up out the front, the driver fills in the "sorry we missed you" card, gets out, walks up the the letter box and puts the card in there, jumps in his van and drives off. Makes absolutely no attemp to even knock on the door to see if anyone is home. Obviously paid per address and not per delivery.
    Cheers Rod
