Righteo, giving this a wee go ehile its free but have a quick question for the gurus. My tv only has one hdmi port which usually runs from the blue-ray player, at the moment im having to unplug from the blue-ray to plug into the laptop instead.
Am looking into getting an hdmi switch and chromecast jobbie instead of having to plug in the laptop everytime. Now the question is, will a bog standard hdmi switch work or will it need to be a bit more special for the chromecast to plug into?
I think chrome cast is usb 3.. Think
Cheers

I would think any latest standards HDMI switch will do the trick or buy a smart TV...LOL

Its hdmi mate...... already looked into it, why would I waste my time asking about a hdmi switch if I didn't know what type of port it used

Yeah new tv would be nice but thats not an option right now, so will just have to make do with my 10year old plasma tv.
Was looking at something like this http://www.jaycar.com.au/Sight-%26-S...ction/p/AC1708 but was thinking it might be over kill.
Or something simple like this to plug the chromecast into but like I said before, unsure if it would work...... http://www.jaycar.com.au/Sight-%26-S...ntrol/p/AC1705
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

You could pick something like that on evilbay for about $5 but yeah it will do the job. I wouldn't spent a hundred as thats about half a TV these days...LOL
