Trucks ready, packed and changed to muddies. Vans packed, just need to add clothes and food and ready to hit the road.
Now just need to survive the next few days at work and then hit the road.

    Bring it on...........
    Cheers

So guys and Gals, looks like i may be making the drive. Been working on the GUIV all day and did a fair bit more than i thought i needed to but all good and the Camper is half packed. I have not really committed to this trip until this week as i needed to get Christmas and Beachport over and done and see where im at. i have been back a week!

I will read this thread over the next week and catch up on the goss.

I gather there is a Cookup on one of the nights? everyone is bringing something i think i read the other day? Are we adding our own meat to that or putting in for a big roast or something? didnt read back far enough.

Is there going to be a drive on one of the days and which day? i assume there will be a day to sit and enjoy the magnificent property Kris has made available to us.

At this stage i have a very heavy week but want to roll in the early hours of Friday and head home Monday. Its about 800kms from my place and Google is telling me its 9 hours of driving time. The guys from Gippsland are you heading around the coast road or back through Melbourne?

Google is telling me to go via Yass and then head South East. from memory that is the best way by far, a long way round but no Mountains so much quicker, is that the general consensus?
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Many will be happy if you make it, MR. So, you dont have to read 90 (jesus) pages of dribble, this is my understanding
There will be an all in cook up on the saturday night(24th) with Kris suppling all the meat and the rest of us supplying a selection of salads and deserts. I think some one has the bread organised as well.
I believe this may be the latest update on who is bringing what.
]Bloodyaussie: the best risotto in the world
    Family4x4 + family: Coleslaw
Rusty_nail + Tegan + friends: Four Bean and Corn Salad, Bruschetta mix + bread to go with it.
Nisshead, Fiona , Josh and Ben: Generously providing his meat for everyone
Winnie, Amy and Diesel the Labrador puppy: Thorpdale potato salad
Growler, no wife n kid: I'll bring chilli salad.
AB and family: sticky date muffins and some other treat Leah will conjure up.
Rkinsey + family: either a Watermelon and Onion salad or roast potatoes, pumpkin and beetroot with sour cream.
Alitis007 + Belinda: fried rice type dish
    Roofy and Jane: tabhouli
Steve, Kat and Boog : Fruit salad
    Appolofish: Potato Salad

    Boots
Relyimah: crunchy noodle salad type thingy.
    NissanGQ4.2 and maybe family
    Matfew + family
HuskyinAuz(Scott)+ wife Kathy + Joe (10yr old boxer) - Brownies, 2 kg crisps, dips, brie, bacon, other stuff (I have a fresh 3kg pork roast if we can use it)
    Clarkie+ wife+ dog
    Rossco
    Agronaught
Squid: Chorizo/or Egg Potato Salad + a Desert Surprise...

    Megatexture - maybe

    Lucus30 - maybe

Not sure on the driving side of things. I think Kris and a few others have ideas but nothing concrete. We are leaving Tues, the others will let u know when and how they are getting there.
The coast is quicker for those of us down this way ( thru Cooma ) but still 8 hours to Captains flat.
    Thats all I know.................................
Oh, and Growlers is supplying the silly chilli

Hi MR from Melb the quickest way is via Yass as you mentioned. Get to Captains Flat and follow the directions on Page 1.
    See you on the weekend.
    Cheers
