Ok did my first tow with my 2000 GU 3L DI with all the fruit NADS ect ect,I just bought a older 15ft caravan, cruising along egt's at around 350 on the flat on hills around 480 so pretty happy with that but one hill I was chugging up the, the temp shot up to 3/4 on the gauge, but once I reached the top and started descending the temp came back down to where it usually sits just under the half way mark, It does have new water pump and good quality coolant, as ive only owned the bus for about 3 months, should I be concerned about the temp rising that high? maybe I should fit a new thermostat and a new alloy radiator?? or is this high temp rise just how these 3L engines are under tow?
