Hello from the other side of the world (Iceland)

Hi all, I am a 1997 Nissan Patrol 260 owner from Iceland and I like to be in contact with you Patrol owners from down under. As I stated before I own a Patrol 260 but that´s a Spanish built car that was sold mainly in Europe. It has the same body as the older 160 models, 2.8 RD engine, 5 speed gearbox leaf springs and is modified for 38" Ground Hawg tires. The car needs a little attention, just a little of rust but the engine and drive train is good. What I plan to do is to turbocharge the engine, putt in diff locks and change the suspension over to coil springs and maybe a slightly bigger tires, 44" or at least 40"

How does the motor go with turning the tyres? I have the rd28 turbo and that struggles to get going with 33's. keep us up to date and do t be shy to ask any questions.

Hi and thanks for welcoming me. I know I will have a lot of fun in here and I am sure to get some nice info too.
The motor has no problem turning the 38 inch tires due to lowered gear ratios but I am not sure what that
ratio is and former owner did not know it either so I guess I have to find out. There is no problem to take
off in second gear. I bought the car recently so there are many things that I still have to take a look at and
finding out the gear ratio is one of them.
